Cliff is a 12-month-old goldendoodle (both parents were goldendoodles, so he is a mix).  He has a gentle temperament and is already very attentive to the people in his household.  He’s named after Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, whose students helped raise him, as well as after the cliffs at Pointe du Hoc, Normandy, France, which were famously scaled by U.S. Army Rangers on D-Day, June 6th, 1944.

J.J. is an 8-month-old Goldendoodle.  He’s energetic, has a great temperament, and has been a very quick learner.  J.J.’s name is a nod to the letter “J,” which is a reference to “joint operations.”  Joint operations are those involving more than one branch of the military, and involve cooperation, collaboration and communication—something J.J. will someday offer to his veteran.

Si is a 6-month-old goldendoodle, whose father has sired other successful service dogs who graduated from Partners for Patriots.  Si is named in part after the military term “psy,” which is used in the term PsyOps.  PsyOps are communications made by our military to foreign audiences to influence their perceptions and emotions.  This fits, because we know someday Si will be a great positive influence on a deserving veteran.

Kilo is a twelve-month-old Goldendoodle (and Cliff’s brother!).  He’s gentle, extremely smart, and learns tasks very quickly.  He’s named after the U.S. military word for the letter “K,” used in radio transmissions.  Many times in the military, “Kilo” can represent “key personnel,” which is someone filling an important role. Kilo wants to fill an important role in a veteran’s life himself someday!

Jagger is a 6-month-old goldendoodle, whose father has sired other successful service dogs who graduated from Partners for Patriots—he’s also Si’s brother!  Jagger is named after Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, because Jagger’s energy and friendliness rock.  Also, the term “jager” in German refers to light infantry, and many U.S. military members can remember working with German “jagers” in joint NATO exercises.

We know Poco is going to make a big difference for a deserving veteran!
